Hi Judith, unfortunately there is no way to remove DEtach an image from a gallery without deleting it from the Media Library. For more information, follow the links on this WordPress forum post.

Thanks Jake,
This works really well, and I have successfully updated many of my galleries. However,
if there is a way of DEtaching a thumbnail from a gallery? I can delete them from the gallery and place them in another one, but they still claim to be in the one they have been deleted from!! Short of deleting them completely from the Media library and then re-uploading them, is there another way?

Thanks for the video. The problem I have is getting the links to stay in the right place, especially if I add extra ones, as this causes them to swop places or jump onto the line above. I'm wondering if this is because I have headings for different links sections, and that these somehow interfere with the preset software.

Hi Frank,

Would it be possible if you would let me know how you set up that page?
It's a straightforward Gallery page. For instructions on how to do it, see this tutorial over at gammagirl.com:
 http://gammagirl.wordpress.com/2008/07/27/not-the-official-wordpresscom-gallery-faq/

I’ve also been looking at jQuery portfolio presentations.
The one used for Barry's site is Lightbox 2 by Rupert Morris:
 http://stimuli.ca/lightbox/

hope that helps, cheers, Jake

Hello Jake! My name is Frank and I'm a designer living in the Orlando, Florida area.

I came across Barry Smith's site and liked his portfolio page.

I recently upgraded to WordPress 3.0 but have had a hard time finding a portfolio plug-in that works well or looks good.

I emailed Barry and asked about his portfolio page. He replied with your contact info.

Would it be possible if you would let me know how you set up that page? Is it a plug-in? Something you created?

I've also been looking at jQuery portfolio presentations. I like how the images fade from one to the next but still not happy with the overall look of said plug-ins.

I appreceiate your time.
