Who should attend

Beginners who want to bring order to their digital photos, free up their camera and learn how to send photos.

Skills required

Basic computer literacy. An interest in taking photos would also help.

Learning outcomes

  • Camera operation: You will learn how to transfer files from your camera to your computer.
  • File management techniques: You will learn essential techniques to manage your image files, both locally and online, and how to backup files.
  • Retouching photos: You will know how to do basic image editing.
  • Resizing photos: You will learn about the relationship between pixels and resolution, and how to resize and print bitmap images.

All techniques will be taught using Free Software that will be made available free of charge to all students.
