People who know a little bit of Photoshop but who would like to actually understand more fully what they’re doing.
Skills required
Basic computer literacy plus a passing knowledge of Photoshop &/or GNU IMP.
Learning outcomes
- Principles of bitmap editing: You will come to understand how the core principle is alpha channels.
- Photoshop & GNU IMP: You will learn how GNU IMP measures up to and is different from Photoshop.
- Bitmap editing techniques: You will learn half a dozen, real-world techniques that are software-agnostic.
All techniques will be taught using Free Software that will be made available free of charge to all students.
